Feline Specialties offers a full dental examination and prophylaxis (cleaning). Under gentle gas anesthesia, the mouth, teeth and gums are examined, scaled (tartar and plaque removed), cleaned and polished. Any broken or badly infected/decayed teeth are extracted by our veterinarians. A disinfectant gel is massaged gently into the gums to help prevent gingivitis. Pain control medications are used, if necessary. Most dental procedures are performed on an outpatient basis.
