Dr. Judy Zinn
Dr. Zinn graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She obtained her first Scottish Fold cat in 1988 and has been an avid feline fan ever since. She actively bred and showed her Scottish Folds for 12 years. Her goal to open a "cats only" veterinary practice was achieved in 1996 when Feline Specialties opened for business. Dr. Zinn enjoys training dogs and is a Canine Handler for the Oklahoma Task Force. She, along with her Search and Rescue dog, Royce, respond to disasters and search for survivors hidden in collapsed buildings and rubble. When Dr. Zinn has a spare moment she enjoys gardening and spoiling her grandchildren.
Dr. Jennifer O'Cain
Dr. O'Cain received her veterinary medicine degree from Oklahoma State University in 1998. (GO POKES!!) She began working at Feline Specialties soon after graduation. Dr. O'Cain and her husband Brian share their house with a Great Dane (Max) and several cats that have been rescued. When she is not at work, she spends most of her time with her family and friends, reading, and cycling. During football season, she can be found at every OSU home game, cheering on the Cowboys. Dr. Zinn and O'Cain are both accomplished surgeons and have outstanding diagnostic skills for all feline medical problems. They also do extensive behavioral counseling so owners can understand their cat's behavior. Both doctors attend thirty-six hours of continuing education in feline medicine and surgery every year.
Jane is one of our hospital's Veterinary Assistants. She has been with our staff since December 1999. Jane started as a kennel assistant and worked her way up to a veterinary assistant. Jane has four cats (Stowie, Jay, Scrappy, & Mayhem) and three turtles. She enjoys spending time with her son and gardening.
Peyton is one of our Veterinary Assistants, and has been with us since October of 2014. She shares her home with two cats (Samson & Delilah), and owns two horses (Barney & Midnight). Outside of her time at the clinic, and being a vet student, she enjoys being outside, kayaking, riding horses, relaxing, and watching baseball. She hopes to be a Large Animal Veterinarian in the future.
Karla is our hospital's Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated in 1978 from Colby Community College in Colby, KS. She began working at our hospital in August of 2001. She and her husband, John, have one daughter - who is a MIT graduate and is now a mechanical engineer at General Motors. In her spare time she enjoys reading, biking, boating, traveling, and rooting for all University of Tulsa Sports.
Sharon is our morning receptionist and has been with Feline Specialties since March 2007. Sharon has two black cats,one black and white cat, one brown tabby van cat, a Great Dane and a white rabbit. She spends her spare time in the company of her husband and her animals.
Lindsey is one of our Veterinary Assistants, she has been with us since August of 2016. She has two dogs (Kipper Bear & Tin-Tin Fluffy Butt), and two cats (Frodo & Eowyn). Outside of the clinic, Lindsey enjoys drawing, writing, crafting, and being outside. She hopes to be a Zookeeper/Conservationist in the future.
McKayla is our Kennel Technician, and has been with our clinic since November 2015. She has two cats (Calico & Ricca) and one dog (Nala). Her hobbies are riding her bicycle, reading, walking her dog, cooking & baking, and spending time with her family. She is a student at Tulsa Community College and hopes to be a Physical Therapy Assistant in the future.
Alexis is our evening receptionist and has been with us since February of 2017. She shares her home with her two cats, Oliver Wood and Cedric Diggory who has neurological issues. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, reading and spending time with her boy friend, best friend and god children
